What is Christian, Catholic and Spiritual Counseling?

Christian, Catholic and Spiritual Counseling is offered for clients who seek to involve their spiritual beliefs in a therapeutic setting while facilitating healing and growth.  Through the counseling process, the therapist can help you resolve troubles that have interfered with the growing of your faith and developing of your life. Integrating Christian, Catholic and Spiritual treatment may involve praying with clients and discussing practical steps to grow in their definition of Faith. 

 

Catholic counseling integrates the Catholic faith, such as the use of scripture and highlighting the gifts of the sacraments to use for growth in faith and healing.

Danielle Hagedorn is Catholic; however, she works with a variety of faiths and religions. She is not limited by her own faith and in turn she honors and respects the client’s unique belief system. 

Throughout Danielle’s journey in her own faith, she experienced joy, confusion, doubt, and painful losses. It was through the teachings of her own faith that Danielle found acceptance, forgiveness, healing, and support.

Helping You Through the Process

You and your therapist will have the opportunity to explore what is going on in your life, while also examining your beliefs and your relationship with God. The level of Christian perspective involved in your sessions is dependent upon your own unique faith, journey, and needs. You and your therapist will collaborate and monitor to make sure you are receiving the type of treatment best suited for your own life.
